The Ellet High School
Class of 1974
45th year reunion weekend
Saturday
July 20, 2019
at Wingfoot Lake State Park
993 Goodyear Park Blvd. Mogadore, Ohio 44260
Do you remember this??
It's an exact replica of our Graduation Announcement...in cake!!!
It was 92 degrees the day of our picnic.
If it hadn't been for some HUGE fans a few of the guys
thought to bring in, I think we would've been dropping like flies!
(Thank you guys, VERY much!)
I truly believe this is why we have so few pics for Saturday,
as opposed to the millions from Friday.
Nobody wanted to move, nobody felt like bouncing around to get pictures.
But, I did see a few brave souls snapping pics,
running back in front of a fan, snapping a few more, running back to that fan.
That's how I was able to get my hands on some pics, to show you, here.
I thank them for their brave efforts!
And, now....let's go see who was around for Saturday's sweltering (but, wonderful) picnic!
The Class of 1973 had their 45th yr reunion, then passed along these 45s for our pleasure.
When we finished with them, we passed them along to the Class of '75, so they could have the same fun we did.
(well, I think it's a given that no one...no Class...can have as much fun as we do, but we can hope for them. Right?)
Your Planning Committee, plus a couple other kind souls, arrived bright & early to
begin setting up so it would look somewhat festive when folks arrived.
I believe they did a good job!!
We were fortunate enough to get Bill Moriarty & friends to provide us with some GREAT music.
Yes, REALLY great music....
I'm not sure, but I think we finally found the original Ellet Orangeman!!
Putting on the 'feed bag'!

Gone Too Soon
Well, there you have it, Classmates:
All who were brave enough to hang in the until the bitter end.
The temperatures were dangerously high, for some of us.
I heard from a few Classmates, who said that if their cars & trucks
had not had A/C, they would never have made it home.
I understand, because I was one who had to keep the windows down
and drive with my head out, just to make it a mile down the road.
(Not really, but it certainly does give a funny image, if you ask me)
God Bless all who suffered thru, so the rest of us could spend a little time with them.
Oh, Hey!!
I found these 2 pics, lurking amongst them all...
Several of the Classmates got together on Sunday, too.
They met over at President's Lounge, right there at Newton St & Darrow Road,
for a final weekend fling.
(I understand many pics were taken, but only a couple made it to me.)
